Dry-Stone Wall Relief Panel

A weathered dry-stone wall, captured in a single carve-ready tile. Despite the CNC code on the label, this file is a rectangular relief panel of an irregular coursed stone wall. The surface reads as rubble masonry: rough-hewn blocks of wildly different sizes locked together, some long and flat, others chunky and near-square, all separated by deep recessed mortar lines. Each stone has its own pitted, hand-shaped face, so the grain never repeats and the whole slab looks like a genuine cottage or castle wall rather than a stamped texture. Rendered in warm sandstone, it catches raking light beautifully. It is a workhorse texture piece. Router it into a hardwood plaque for a rustic wall hanging, use it as a backdrop panel behind model railways and wargaming terrain, cast it as a repeating scenic tile, or 3D-print it as a decorative accent for shelves and mantels. The flat back means it sits flush against any surface. Print / cut notes • Orient the panel face-up and flat; the shallow-to-medium relief needs no supports on an FDM printer. • For CNC, a ball-nose finishing pass brings out the pitted stone faces; run a fine stepover in the mortar channels for crisp shadow lines. • Wide, low layer heights (0.12–0.16 mm) keep the mortar recesses sharp on printed versions. • A grey primer with a dry-brushed lighter top coat instantly sells the aged-stone look.
